ACT Z64-XXR4 MaXX Pressure Plate with Race Rigid 4-Pad Clutch Disc?The ACT clutch kit includes a MaXX Xtreme pressure plate, 4-pad rigid race disc, release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool. The MaXX Xtreme pressure plate allows for a 70 to 150 percent increase in clamp load over the stock unit. ACT pressure plates use exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection and maximize clutch life. All diaphragms endure an exclusive four-stage, heat-treating process for unparalleled performance. ACT pressure plates have precision cover stampings to provide rigidity and consistency and some are reinforced to reduce flex and improve efficiency and the feel of the pressure plate. ACT pressure plates are manufactured from new units not rebuilt from worn out parts and are 100 percent tested and computer balanced for smooth operation at high RPM. ACT's MaXX Xtreme pressure plates have a pedal feel that is stiff to very stiff and are recommended for use with a race disc. ACT's 4-pad rigid race discs are made with high quality, ceramic friction materials and all friction pads are measured, sorted and matched before assembly to ensure each disc is uniform in thickness. The chrome-moly hub is heat-treated for strength and durability and the lightweight, rigid design allows for quicker shifts and smooth, trouble-free service. With the 4-pad, rigid race disc engagement is harsher but shifting is faster. The 4-pad rigid race disc is well-suited for the smaller disc sizes in smaller engines. This disc is not recommended for street use. All ACT race discs are certified as meeting SFI Specification 1.1 and are legal in all racing organizations that require SFI certification. The kit is completed with a quality, stock replacement release bearing, pilot bearing and alignment tool.
